Capacitor

A capacitor is a semiconductor used to store energy in the form potential, in electric fields.

The capacitors have a lot of applications, in addition to serving as storage of energy.

They are important elements in the electrical circuits of transmitters and receivers, radio and television.

They are devices that store electrical energy in the form of electric field, generated by the cargo stored.

This movement of cargo, into and out of the armour of the capacitor can be an electrical current.

There is an interdependence between the variation of the voltage and current through the capacitor. This relationship can be expressed by:

• I = C * (V / t) where:
• I => current instant
• V => variation of tension
• T => interval of time
• V / t => variation of voltage in a range of time
