Assemblies With Heat Sinks Refrigerated By Water

The Capitolio converter is a static electrical equipment intended for the control of the power of industrial processes that use heating through electrical resistance.

The function is to allow the passage of electric energy at levels checked for heating. It can be used to control light (heat through infrared lamps), control of the tension on elements of induction heaters, gutters vibrating, inductive loads (processor with induction below 1.3 TESLA, etc.). It is not used to drive the electric motors.

The converter works with drivers processes, PLC, among others, which capture fluctuations in temperature of the process and send a signal of command variable ( ... 20mAcc) so that the converter control the passage of power under this sign.

Composition:

Formed by several components aggregates, such as:

  • Tiristores SCR (modules or chips) for high currents or triacs for low currents;
  • Heat Sinks aluminum;
  • Thermostat protection;
  • Command electronic firing;
  • Fan (when necessary) or the cooling water system for high currents;
  • Protections, insulators, contacts, connectors and support for fixing on panel;
  • Fuse protection ultra-fast.

Type load: resistive or inductive.

Type circuit:

System train of momentum.

Monophasic - a controlled phase and a phase direct.

Three-phase - two phases controlled and a stage direct.

Three-phase - three phases controlled.

System phase angle of Monophasic - a controlled phase and a phase direct.

Single Fase - controlled or directly controlled.

Voltage of the network:

110Vac / 220Vac / 380Vac / 440Vac (48...62Hz ±10%).

Other tensions under consultation.

Signal of command:

0...20mAcc / 4...20mAcc / 0...5Vcc / 0...10Vcc / 1...5Vcc / 2...10Vcc.

Refrigeration:

  • Natural for currents up to 40 amps
  • With cooler through exhaust mounted on the heat sink for currents above 50 amps.
  • In the water for above current of 800 amps.

Current (to inform):

  • 10 - 16 - 20 - 25 - 36 - 50 - 63 - 80 - 100 - 125 - 160 - 200 (amps).
  • 250 - 300 - 350 - 400 - 450 - 500 - 630 -    700 - 800 - 1000 - 1200 (amps).

Options:

  • Potentiometer for manual limitation of current.
  • Soft start (only in the system of phase angle).

Protection:

  • Fuse ultra-fast loose to protect about this.
  • Thermostat mounted on the heat sink to protect on temperature.
  • Suppressors of switching transients (R / C).

System shooting (TRAIN OF IMPULSE)

In the train of momentum converter sends packages with ranges in levels checked, varying in accordance with the sign of command, energized and stopping the tension always in the cross zero (zero crossing), increasing or decreasing the current average. The output power varies linearly in the conduct of energy. It has the advantage of avoiding peaks of tension and disturbances in the electrical network.

Usage:

In circuits with electrical resistance metal whose value ohmic between cold and hot state has a variation less than 50%, or shot with specific circuits for inductive.

System shooting (ANGLE OF STAGE)

In the angle phase of the converter runs through cuts in various angles of a control voltage varying according to the sign of command.

Usage:

In nonlinear loads (resistance of silicon or tungsten carbide), inductive loads (processors with induction below 1.3) or in control systems, lighting (heating by infrared lamps). It is not used to drive the electric motors.

The phase angle of system enables one shot initial soft (soft start) and can limit the maximum current on the load. This system can generate noise and harmonics on the network and electrical interference RFI.
